Several Years ago I was battling postpartum anxiety and insomnia, as well as some family trauma. Some women step right into that new mom roll without skipping a beat, but I struggled hard. I loved my child, I would do anything for him, but I was a hormonal, exhausted mess of a person. I had no idea how to be a mom, I was emotional in losing who I was, and who I was becoming, and the whole process was extremely overwhelming. I know motherhood is an extremely rewarding experience, but it can also be very brutal in becoming the newest version of ones self. I painted this to release that pain of anxiety, depression and to find happiness again. To create an energy flow of soothing tones, of kind, healing energy, and to brighten the space around it. It was a very healing process to paint this and I hope others can see and feel it when they view this piece. It is a wonderfully healing piece to any space.
